This past week we lined up the rest of our build schedule while the finishing touches were put on design. This coming Tuesday UA Baja will be going to a local Tucson Elementary School to demo the '07 for the kiddies. Depending on your level of comprehension, this image will either tell you everything (well, sort of) about our 2008 vehicle, or it will confuse the living daylights out of you. The image was created by a fluke deletion which sprung errors in plane geometry of Autodesk Inventor. In other words I tried to delete something that didn't want to be deleted and in turn Inventor showed me all that was going to be obliterated including lines, planes, sweeps, extrusions, revolutions, etc. That's freaky neat...

Fabrication is coming along nicely for the 2008 vehicle.  The frame is nearly done in the front and the rear engine housing is starting up.  Some smaller, side projects have been going on to ensure that once our frame is done everything can just bolt into place.  Check for some pictures after this weekend.

This coming Tuesday we are getting up bright and early to go out to a local Tucson elementary school.  Why?  We are privileged to be presenting what it is like to work on racecars to a lucky group of kids which in turn ought to jazz them up about science and engineering.  We’re bringing along the 2007, a pile of boulders, and some wood for a jump which will make for an exciting show.  Pictures/video after Tuesday.
